Great, but not for VPN.
Primarily, bought it to use with the ExpressVPN firmware. However, it doesn't deliver high speeds while connected to the VPN. Supposed to get 500Mbps I only get 150Mbps while connected to the smart location using the Lightway - UDP protocol tested on my PC with ethernet cable. This is because it lacks of having an AES-NI processor chip which boosts VPN connections. ExpressVPN support suggested to get one of the following routers: Asus RT-AC86U (AC2900 only), RT-AX88U, RT-AX92U, GT-AC5300, GT-AX11000 as they all include the AES-NI processor chip. Otherwise fast router if you don't use VPN. Another downside is that WiFi connection is weak. If connected far away, you may lose speed, but is fast when nearby. To get the highest speed, always connect devices via ethernet cable. Great for 4k streaming, online gaming, high downloads.
