UltraSwim Chlorine Removal Shampoo, Moisturizing Formula 7 oz

I can no longer find this shampoo locally so I was happy to find it on Amazon. I swim almost every day, and my hair gets really dry and brittle even though I wear a cap (there is not a cap made that will keep your hair 100% dry). This is especially true in the summer because sometimes it is just too hot to wear anything but a lycra cap, so my hair gets soaked in chlorine for about an hour. It really helps, and it also gets rid of the chlorine smell. I use it for body wash sometimes too. Unscented which is perfect for me.

It is so difficult to get chlorine out of thick hair and actually takes me a couple of days to finally not smell it. This shampoo is a wonderful invention. It strips your hair of all of the crap (which is something we should do anyway once in a while...but not too often or your hair will be crappy) and the chlorine is absolutely gone! I wasn't a big fan of the smell but what can you do? So I used it and then used my own shampoo afterward. Then I used the Ultra Swim Conditioner, which is a must because you have to put the nutrients back into your hair that it needs after stripping it down. It was so smooth and shiny and healthy looking without the pool smell. I recommend this to swimmers!

My daughter swam every single day in this summer & her hair started looking like hay! I washed her hair with this for about a week & it did make a HUGE difference. The texture is still not 100% like it was before, but this shampoo did help tremendously. I ended up purchasing a swim cap towards the end of the summer, but am so glad I found this to help salvage her hair!

texture is very watery. I'm not sure it really helps to wash away the smell. I use vitamin C defused water to rinse my hair seems more effective! Will not re-purchase

I purchased this shampoo when my hair looked lifeless after swimming in my pool. It made an immediate difference on my hair.

So I have been using this w/  Ultraswim Ultra Repair Conditioner - 7 Oz  for about a week now and so far it is not bad. It definitely works better than my Head&Shoulders; That said, I still have to wash my hair at least twice to get most of the chlorine out, but that might be more due to my gym over chlorinating their pool.

This seems to work pretty well. I dye my hair and the chlorine from the pool was ruining the color pretty quickly. Also my hair dresser told me to get my hair wet before getting in the pool as hair is like a sponge and once it's full of water, it's not going to absorb any more. Between this shampoo and getting my hair wet before the pool I've been able to retain my hair color much better than previously. But I still wish the YMCA would get salt water pools!

Love this shampoo, had made a noticable difference after swimming a few times a week. Tried a more expensive product (Aveda) and this works much better!

I swim 2-3X a week and don't wear a swim cap (I just hate them, okay?). As a result, my hair can feel tangled, dried out, and brittle as time goes on, and my hairdresser has noted "build-up" of chlorine when I've gone to the salon. for a wash and cut. However, this shampoo does a good job at getting rid of both the chlorine feeling AND smell after using the pool.I use a small coin-sized amount and wash my hair twice in a row to make sure all of the chemicals have been removed. My hair instantly feels soft and manageable. I use a conditioner afterwards, though, just to be safe. You wouldn't even know I had spent an hour in the pool without a swim cap, it's that good!My only qualm is that it's pretty pricey; however, you are paying for quality here, so I think it's a very reasonable expense to make, especially if you're often in the pool.Note: I did not purchase conditioner from the same brand; I use any conditioner I have lying around, and my hair feels fantastic afterwards.

Works excellent, smells NICE! My hair feels better than it did before the chlorine damage. I've been living with hard water for 8 years, i had no idea the effect this has on hair. I started swimming everyday at the pool and my hair turned to straw. Because of this product my long hair feels so soft and silky. Seems to strip off the chlorine and minerals allowing the conditioner to penetrate my hair. My ends feel just as soft as the hair at my scalp. Love it!

We use this in the summer months when our pool is open. It's fine. I have no scientific way of proving that it actually removes chlorine for the hair but hey, I feel good thinking I am helping my kids and our hair so I buy it. It is also difficult to find swim friendly shampoo around our neck of the woods, so I bought this.

Very happy that it seems to do what is intended. It is a bit more perfumed than I like since I usually use non-fragrant products, but that mostly washes off if you use this first and wash thoroughly afterward. It would not do for my highly skin reactive spouse.

J'ai acheté ce produit pour ma fille qui se baigne tous les jours. Ce produit est très cher et ne tient pas ses promesses. Après plusieurs essais, la chevelure de ma fille n'a fait que s'assécher et s'abîmer encore plus. Je pense que ce produit décape les cheveux et les rends encore plus fragiles.
