Amazon Echo Spot (newest model), Great for nightstands, offices and kitchens, Smart alarm clock with Alexa, BlackReducing CO2

Okay, so I got the new Amazon Echo Spot, and I'm pretty happy with it! It's the perfect size for so many places. I've got mine on my nightstand, and it's great. It doesn't take up a ton of space, which is awesome. But I can totally see it working well in an office or even the kitchen.The main thing is, it's a really good smart alarm clock. The display is clear, and I love that I can just ask Alexa to set an alarm. No more fumbling with tiny buttons in the dark! And of course, it does way more than just alarms.Alexa is super helpful, as always. I can ask about the weather, control my smart home devices, and even listen to music. The sound quality is surprisingly good for such a small device. It's clear, and it can get pretty loud if you want it to.Overall, I'd say if you're looking for a smart device that's compact, versatile, and has a good display, the new Echo Spot is definitely worth checking out. It's a solid upgrade, and I'm finding it really useful in my daily life.

I've been using the Echo Spot for a few days and it honestly surprised me in a good way. The screen is really clear, even at night, and I like being able to check the time, weather, and control things with Alexa right from my nightstand. The size is perfect — it doesn’t take up much space and looks nice. I also use it to play soft music before bed. It’s practical, easy to use, and fits well anywhere.

I've been looking for a new alarm clock for my bedside table. I thought this looked pretty cool, and also, decided to upgrade the Dot we've had for several years, so I bought two. I really like these! As an alarm clock, it works great! The options of sounds are much better than the little "buzzer" on most current alarm clocks. The snooze works great, and the scheduled alarm does NOT disappear, as long as you're using an actual alarm and not a routine. The display is also perfect for a bedroom as it's easy to control the brightness. Advice for anyone with more than one of these - make sure to use different wake names. That will make things easier. The sound on them is pretty decent as well...it's not going to bring down the house, but for most uses, it's pretty good. I haven't connected bluetooth speakers to it yet.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It's like a Pop with a screen. I have been wanting to get one for my son, who has outgrown his kid profile but not quite ready for a full on Echo Show. With this device, I can feel assures that my teenager can have a smart device without the internet surfing and other things that can be used inappropriately. He can access Amazon music with Spot. He likes being able to see the clock, which is why we went with this instead of the Pop.The screen is small. It doesn't use up the whole area. Just a small square/rectangle. The speaker is average. Don't expect amazing things with the sound. A little tweaking with the bass, mid and treble helped a tad little.I was a bit irritated that the screen didn't come with any protection on it and ours came with a very small scuff/chip. Since it's for my teenager, I'm not going to deal with the replacement process. But it would be nice for Amazon to put on protectors for shipping to prevent this in the future.It is a little slow to respond to touch. Be patient.Swipe from the top down to get your menu up. Additional settings in the app.If you plan on getting blue, it doesn't look too great with most of the display/clock colors. My son doesn't mind. It's simple. A bit overpriced but this sale price isn't bad. Perhaps it should be the regular price for these. It's a clock. With a speaker. That can stream music. Alarms. Timers. The basics.

I probably got this for a different reason than most. I recently upgraded my laptop to one with a great price and great specs - except for the built in speakers. The speakers on the laptop are really bad and way too quiet, so I needed a good Bluetooth speaker to boost the volume. I don’t like going through the hassle of returning things, so I’d been torn trying to decide between the full size echo and this echo spot because I was worried the spot wouldn’t have enough power for loud volume when I wanted it, but I also really wanted the LED clock face of the spot. I’m so glad I took the chance on the spot.As a Bluetooth speaker, this tiny thing does not disappoint. Clear and rich sound with plenty of volume for a small to medium size room or office. I have it in a small office, around 150 sqft, and I typically leave the volume at 70%, which is plenty for that size space when watching videos or listening to music. And this coming from a former military guy who doesn’t have the best hearing. At 100% volume it’s powerful enough to actually be too loud - very surprising for something so compact.Add to that the extra functions of the LED clock face always showing the time/outside temp/weather, Alexa controlling the IoT devices/lights and setting timers and alarms by voice as needed - this thing has been a game changer for my little office space. It’s so good and convenient that I’m considering putting one in almost every room in the house now.

The display gets just dark enough to avoid disturbing my sleep, but it’s still readable if I glance over in the middle of the night.Overall, this new Echo Spot is a perfect blend of form and function—especially for bedside use.
